The Christmas memory of a lifetime, check out this great deal that Cate Bolt has put together over at Project 18 only $90 per adult and $15 per child (The little darlings would cost you more than that at Macca’s)

I bet you can guess exactly where I caught my first wave on that board?? That’s right it was at first point on a winters day (Well what we call winter in QLD) 2 to 3 foot perfect sets rolling in, just myself and a my mate. We had the place to ourselves and caught wave after perfect wave until almost complete exhaustion.

Nothing says Australia more to me than a Kangaroo, except for maybe the boxing day cricket test!!!

I love Australia and particularly my backyard which is the Sunshine Coast, sometimes it is easy to forget just how good it is to live in this great country. To me celebrating Australia day is about celebrating how lucky we are to live here.

So with that in mind I have scoured the internet to find as many Sunshine Coast Events as I could for Australia Day 2010 . If you would like a Sunshine Coast Australia Day event added just put it in the comment section below and I will ensure it gets posted. Please also feel free to contribute what it is that Australia Day means to you!!

One last thing I just want to say a huge thank you to all the surf life savers who do a brilliant job patrolling our beaches here on the Sunshine Coast.
